How to Get There

Lava Hot Springs is nestled in southeastern Idaho, a small river town surrounded by high desert and rolling hills, about 2.5 hours north of Salt Lake City and 3.5 hours east of Boise.

From Salt Lake City ~2.5 hrs

  • Take I-15 North toward Pocatello
  • Exit at US-30 East (Exit 67 near Pocatello)
  • Follow US-30 East for approx. 30 miles into Lava Hot Springs

From Boise ~3.5 hrs

  • Take I-84 East toward Twin Falls
  • Continue to I-86 East toward Pocatello
  • Exit at US-30 East and follow into Lava Hot Springs

  • Sun hat and non-toxic organic sunscreen
